Using GPTs (EF-12)

Fundamental

3 hr

Service Description

Who is it For: This course is designed for corporate professionals interested in leveraging Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) to boost productivity. It's ideal for individuals who want to understand how GPT models work, explore their potential applications, and learn best practices for safe and effective use. What You Will Achieve: Participants will gain a solid understanding of GPTs, how to use them in real-world scenarios, and the challenges associated with public large language models (LLMs). You will master prompt crafting techniques, explore different GPT tools, and learn how to apply these models in a variety of business contexts while mitigating risks. Learn what GPT stands for and how the models work. Understand the caveats of using public LLMs, including privacy, bias, and accuracy issues. Explore GPT modalities (text-based, code-based, multimodal) and available tools. Master prompt techniques to interact effectively with GPTs. Identify use cases and practical applications of GPT models to enhance productivity. Summary Outline: Section 1: Introduction to GPTs and their basic principles. Section 2: What GPT stands for, its evolution, and the transformer architecture behind it. Section 3: How GPTs work—training, fine-tuning, and practical applications. Section 4: Caveats of using public LLMs—privacy, bias, reliability, and ethical considerations. Section 5: Different modalities—text-based models (e.g., GPT-3), code-based models (e.g., Codex), and multimodal models, as well as tools that integrate GPTs into workflows. Section 6: Prompting tips—how to craft clear, specific prompts, and iterative refinement. Section 7: Examples and use cases—content creation, customer support, data analysis, and programming assistance. This half-day module (~3 hours) includes hands-on practice, case studies, and group discussions to ensure participants understand GPT models and apply them effectively and responsibly in business contexts.
